“Near the sea is where you will see me…forever”, like a mermaid you replied and vanished in the drizzles that the wind carried.
I know you were here with me, this time too, at the southern tip of the country.
I felt your presence as I pointed my arms towards the sea, the alien land which was standing brave in front of me.
I felt an unpredictable rush amongst the waves as if they wanted to hold my hands, pull me in deep into the crisscross seabed with all their might and bring to you.
The sea made a different noise that day, maybe it was the sound of you heralding caught in the currents or the shoreline eroding faster.
I closed my eyes only to remember how you’ve touched my skin and soul. And you did touch my heart.
