You Reflect Me

I look at you and connect,
Happiness is all you reflect,

With a firm pair of eyes,
Filled with kindness and not lies,

Earth for a refugee,
The first rainfall for a parched soil,

With a bold style, you roll,
Not from head to the toe, but within your soul.

Your heart so firm and cold,
I could have conversations and turn old,

For hours in an empty room.
You are a rose planted to bloom

Something inside you trigger,
The next thing is a smile on my face, I figure,

Long enough to hurt my cheeks,
You are a shelter where happiness seeks.

Making hours turn into seconds together,
You take the weight of my world like a feather.

A soul to enlighten the world,
With my poetic inks to unfurl.
