September month is almost round the corner and we have one of the biggest festivals racing on the calendar in the next 7 days! Yes you are right! Ganesh Chaturthi – the festival that brings people from different creed together, dancing to the beats of the dhol and tasha, people chanting Ganpati Bappa Morya! Celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, this festival lasts for ten days where Lord Ganesha is honored by setting up a plethora of temporary pandals (shrines) and worshipped in and around the country.

Ganesh Chaturthi is vividly celebrated in different parts of India, and its more exuberant in Western India, in Maharashtra.
